This weekend the Riversharks are in town for a 4 game series that concludes the Ducks home schedule for the regular season. Friday, a day night doubleheader and today.
I attended the Friday night game, the night game yesterday and today's game. The Saturday night game I attended with a friend from the office. So, I did not graph the game. Which felt really weird to see everyone graphing it. While I sat in my seat.
Friday night was strictly Camden for me. I got the following on cards.
Mariano Gomez, 2 cards. Mariano has played in the Indians, Twins, Braves and Florida systems getting as high as AAA.
James Houser, 2 cards. James was drafted by the Rays and pitched one game for the Marlins in 2010.
Pedro Feliz, 2 cards. Pedro spent a lot of time in the majors. He was with the Phillies when they won the World Series in 2008. He was also on the 09 Phillies that lost the WS to the Yankees. He started out with the Giants before playing for the Phillies and started 2010 with the Stros and finished the season with the Cardinals. He played for the Riversharks last as well.
Ron Karkovice, 2 cards. Ron is currently the bench coach for the Riversharks. He was a 1st round pick of the White Sox in 1982 and was catcher for them from 1986-1997.
Reid Gorecki, 2 cards. Reid played 31 games in the majors in 2009 with the Braves. He was originally drafted by the Cardinals. In addition to playing in the Cardinals and Braves systems. He spent 2010 in the Yankees system starting out with Trenton and finishing with the Scranton. Reid was recently traded to Camden by the Ducks. Which seemed like a real strange move on the Ducks part. Who knows what they where thinking.
Since today was the last regular season game for the Ducks at home. It was also the last pregrame autograph session of the year. I still had some 8x10's to get signed and snagged a few 8x10's of some of the newer Ducks I never had a chance to take pictures of. I got the following on 8x10's
Brandon Pinckney, Brandon has played in the Indians, Phillies, O's and A's system getting has high as AAA.
Bobby Blevins, Bobby has pitched in the Dodgers system getting as high as AAA. He has spent the last 2 season the Rockland Boulders of the Can-Am League. The Ducks recently acquired him for a player to be name later.
Lee Cruz, Lee has played in the White Sox and Astros system getting as high as AAA. Lee also was recently acquired from the Kansas City T-Bones of the American Association.
Josh Lansford, Josh has played in the White Sox and A's system getting has high as AA. He is also 1 of the 2 sons of former major leaguer, Carney Lansford. Who is currently a coach with the Rockies.
Bob Zimmermann, Bob has played in numerous system getting has high as AA.
Shawn Williams, Shawn has played in the Rays system getting as high as A Advanced. He is also the son of former major league manager Jimmy Williams.
Armando Benitez, Armando compiled 289 saves over a 15 year major league career. 5 of those years where memorable to me because they where spent with the Mets. I still cringe when I see him enter a game a Ducks game.
Timo Perez, Timo also a former Met. Timo has also played with the Cards, White Sox and most recently with the Tigers in 2007.
Chris Hayes, Chris has pitched in the Royals system getting as high as AAA.
I also got former Yankee Randy Keisler on a card during the autograph session.
After the session was over I still needed 2 players on the Riversharks side. Two former major leaguers Delwyn Young and Leo Rosales. I was able to Young, who is strictly 1 per and may have the worst autograph I've seen. Rosales on the other hand was apparently traded to the Ducks sometime this morning and was the player to be named when the Ducks sent Gorecki to the Riversharks. When I arrived at the stadium the rosters had not been updated. The funny thing was I saw a number 47 signing autograph during the Ducks session and didn't even realize it was Rosales. Well, I did not get him. I may attend the Ducks first playoff game and try to get him. I also took a few more pics of one of the new guys.

I also got Buddy Harrelson to sign one of my 5x7 Shea Stadium customs. Buddy being the great signer he is added 69/86 WS Champs
The Ducks have off tomorrow before finishing the season with two 3 game series on the road vs. the Patriots and Riversharks.
They will be home for game 3 of the playoffs on the 28th. Right now Lancaster is up on York by 2 games. So, the division winner has not been decided yet.
