Games 37 (Friday 9/6), 38 (Saturday 9/7) and 39(Monday 9/9) for me this season were all against the Sugar Land Skeeters. This was the final series that the Skeeters will be in here on Long Island. Atleast for the regular season.
Since the last time the Skeeters were here on LI they had added a few new players that I had cards for and they are:
Travis Schlichting, 2 cards. Travis was a 4th rd pick in 2003 by the Rays and was drafted as an infielder. In 2006 he decided to make a position change and became a pitcher. He did have 2 brief stints in the majors with the Dodgers in 2009 and 2010. He has also played in the Angels system
Aaron Bates, 1 card
Clay Hensley, 2 cards. Clay was an 8th rd pick in 2002 by the Giants. He pitched for the Giants between 2005 and 2008, the Marlins in 2010-2011 and the back to the Giants in 2012.
David Pauley, 3 cards. David was an 8th rd pick in 2001 by the Padres. He has pitched in the majors with the Red Sox, Mariners, Tigers, Angels and Jays. Most recently pitched 5 games for each the Angels and Jays in 2012
Gary Gaetti, 3 cards. Gary is the Skeeters manager. For the first time since he has been the managers he limited the number of cards he would sign for each of us. I had 6 for him. This was the first time since the middle of last season I got him.
This year I also decided to start a Ducks team set. So, between the last 2 games of the series I was able to get the following

Former major leaguer Lew Ford signed with the team after being released by the Orioles. Lew spent 25 games last season in the majors plus he got 8 ab's in the playoffs. Lew split this season in AA and AAA before signing back with the Ducks.
I got Lew on a gu Locker name plate.
