Braves @ Mets

Friday was Game 2 on the year for me and the Braves were in town for a 3 game series.
Friend and fellow graphers/blogger Corey Mansfield headed to the stadium and got there around noon time.  Check out Corey's blog. http://corey42080.blogspot.com/. He takes some great photos.
By that time there where already handful of graphers waiting and luckily we did not miss any players.
I was able to get the following
Ruben Tejada, 8x10. Signed in 2006 as an amateur Free Agent
Curtis Granderson, 8x10. 3rd rd pick in 2002 by the Tigers. 3x All-Star. Has also played for the Yankees

Daniel Murphy, 1 card. 13rd rd pick in 2006 by the Mets
Kirk Nieuwenhuis, 1 card. 3rd rd pick in 2008 by the Mets
Jenrry Mejia, 1 card. Signed in 2007 as an amateur Free Agent
Eric Young Jr. 1 card. 30th rd pick in 2003 by the Rockies. Is the the son of former big leaguer Eric Young
Tim Teufel 1 card. 2 rd pick in 1980 by the Twins. Played on the Mets 86 World Series team. Also played for the Padres and is currently the Mets 3rd base coach
Joe Valverde 1 card, Signed in 1997 as an amateur Free Agent by the D-Backs. Has also pitched for the Astros and Tigers
Travis D'Arnaud 1 card. 1st rd pick in 2007 by the Phillies. He has been part of 2 blockbuster trades. The first being traded to the Blue Jays in the Roy Halladay deal and came to the Mets as part of the R.A. Dickey trade.
Then I got some of my 5x7 Citi Field customs signed by the following:
Kyle Farnsworth, 47th rd pick in 1994 by the Cubs. Has also pitched for the Tigers, Braves, Yankees, Royals,  and Rays. Recently took over as the Mets closer
Scott Rice, 14th rd pick in 1999 by the Orioles. Spent 12 years in the minors before pitching for the Mets in 2013. Had pitched in the Rangers, Padres, Rockies, Dodgers systems. Has also pitched in the Atlantic League with the Long Island Ducks, Newark Bears and York Revolution. Usually I get the former big leaguers in the Atlantic League. Not Vice Versa.
Anthony Recker, 18th rd pick in 2005 by the A's. Had brief stints in the majors with the A's and Cubs before becoming the Mets backup catcher in 2013.
Andrew Brown, 18th rd pick in 2007 by the Cardinals. Has also played in the majors with the Rockies
Carlos Torres, 15th rd pick in 2004 by the White Sox. Has also pitched in the majors with the Rockies.
Daisuke Matsuxaka, Signed with the Red Sox after having success in his native Japan. Pitched for 8 years with the Seibu Lions compiling a 108-60 record with a 2.95 ERA. Has spent most of his time with the Red Sox, he also spent most of 2013 in the Indians system before signing with the Mets in August 2013.

The only player that signed that I missed was Gonzalez German. Everyone else did not sign. Ike Davis seemed to ignore us. Not sure if he knew he was getting traded to the Pirates at the time he entered the stadium? During batting practice I noticed a post on my Facebook that the Mets and Pirates were working on a deal. By the time the game started the deal was done. Good Luck Ike!! I'm a fan and wished they had gotten rid of Lucas Duda. I'm sure that Ike will have 30+ homers this year.

15 autographs at a major league game is not to bad. From what I heard the No Braves signed on the 3rd base side. So, I didn't miss anything.

Coming soon will be my post on the Long Island Ducks Fanfest that included a game with the Bridgeport Bluefish

Thanks for Reading and Check Back Soon!!!!!
