Game 5 on the season was Saturday night when the Revolution came to town.
The Ducks always have a player sign on the concourse in the autograph booth. Saturday featured pitcher Casey Barnes. Casey signed one of my 8x10's that I had taken during the game that was played the day of the Duck fest.
Casey was a FA signing in 2011 by the Phillies and pitched a part of the season between the GCL and Short Season affiliates before being released and signing with a Frontier league team.
I only had cards for small number of the players on York. But, I was able to get the following
Sal Paniague, 1 card. Sal signed as a FA in 2003 with the Red Sox. Also played in the Mets system getting as high as AA. Since 2010 he has spent all of his time playing between the United League, Mexico and the Atlantic League
Steven Bumbry, 1 card. Steven was a 12th rd pick in 2009 by the O's and as gotten as high as AA. Steven is the son of Al Bumbry a 14 year Major League Vet. Al was the AL ROY in 1973.
Julio Depaula, 1 card. Julio signed with the Twins in 1999 as a FA. He pitched in 16 games in 2007 with the Twins and has also pitched in the Rays system and has also pitched in Korea, Mexico and the Frontier League.
Eric Patterson, 3 cards. Eric was an 8th rd pick in 2004 by the Cubs. He has played in parts of 5 season in the majors with the Cubs, A's Red Sox and most recently in 2011 with the Padres.
The only other player I missed was Mark Hendrickson. I never saw him the dugout and decided not to wait near the bus for just one player. I hear he is strictly 1 per.
My next planned outing will be 1 of the 3 games this week when Lancaster is in town to play the Ducks.
The Barnstormers outfield has Bobby Kielty, Greg Golson and Fred Lewis.
