This past Sunday was Game 22 for me on the season and was in Brooklyn when the Vermont Lake Monsters started a 3 game series with the Cyclones. The Lake Monsters became the Oakland A's affiliate a year ago.
The promotion is a Sandy Seagull Bus Driver Bobblehead. It was a Honeymooners Night.
Most of you probably have never heard of the TV Show "The Honeymooners" which aired on TV in 1957 and last for over 20 years and was very popular. The main character was a bus driver.
As usual I did a Logo sheet for the Lake Monsters and almost finished it.
Aaron Nieckula, Manger, As a Manager Aaron has been managing in the A's system since 2006 at the A ball and AA levels. As a player Aaron was a 22nd rd pick in 1998 by the A's and spent 5 seasons in the minors in the A's system 1998-2001 and the Giants 2002 reacing as a high as AAA.
Tommy Everidge, Hitting Coach. As a player Tommy was a 10th rd pick in 2004 by the A's and made 24 game stint in 2009 in the majors with the A's. Tommy has also spent time in the Mariners and Astros sytem and retired at the end of the 2012 season
Carlos Chavez, Pitching Coach. As a player Carlos was a 17th rd pick in 1992 by the Orioles and spent 14 seasons pitching in the minor leagues in the O's, Marlins, Brewers, A's and Dodgers system as well spending time in the Mexican league
