Barnstormers at Ducks, Game 1 of a Doubleheader...

Last night was Game 5 on the season for me. The Barnstormers at the Ducks. Last night was a single admission Doubleheader. Game 2 of the 3 game series was rained out on Wednesday night. In the Atlantic League a single admission Doubleheader is played as two seven inning games with 25 minute break between games.
I did plan on both games. But, the weather has been cold and windy. So, I only hung around for 5 innings of the first game.
Gates opened only 30 minutes before the first pitch, which gave me a little less time for autographs.
I only graphed the Barnstormers and managed to get the following players
Butch Hobson, 3 cards. Butch is currently the Barnstormers Manager. As a player Butch was an 8th rd pick in 1973 by the Red Sox and went on the play 8 seasons in the majors with the Red Sox 1975-1980, Angels 1981 and Yankees 1982
Caleb Gindl, 4 cards Caleb was a 5th rd pick in 2007 by the Brewers and has played 2 brief stints in the majors with the Brewers. 57 games in 2013 and 8 games in 2014. Caleb also played in the Jays system in 2015 while playing in AAA
Michael Crouse, 1 card. Mike was a 16th rd pick in 2008 by the Blue Jays and reached as high as AA in 2014. Mike did not play in 2015
Josh Bell, 4 cards. Josh was a 4th rd pick in 2005 by the Dodgers. Not to be confused with the Josh Bell who is currently a top rated prospect in the Pirates system. Josh has spent parts of 3 seasons in the majors with the O's 2010, 53 games. 2011, 26 games and the D-Backs 2012, 21 games. Josh as also played in the Yankees and White Sox system as well as Korea and Mexico
Justin Jackson, 2 cards. Justin was a 1st rd pick, 45th overall in the 2007 by the Blue Jays. He has spent the last 8 seasons in the Jays and Braves system reaching as high as AA. Justin was drafted as a shortstop. But, decided to give pitching a try in 2013
Jeff Kobernus, 3 cards. Jeff was a 2nd rd pick in 2009 by the Nationals. Jeff has played in the majors in 2 brief stints, both with the Nationals in 24 games in 2013 and 4 games in 2014. Jeff spent the 2015 season playing in 3 different levels in the Giants system

As usual I missed out on a few relievers and the starting catcher. The relievers can get to the bullpen without coming thru the dugout. The starting catcher was in the bullpen warming up the starting pitcher.
Tonight I was able to get 17 autographs, which brings my season total to 62 autographs. This also brings me to a Milestone. My total number of autographs is 8,516. 7,538 are baseball autographs

Some pics from the game
 Former National, Jeff Kobernus
New Ducks 1st baseman and Former Oakland A, Nate Freiman

Next up will be more Ducks games when the Ducks return from a short road trip. The Ducks have a 6 game homestand with the Bluefish and Patriots
